The young full-back A further composed performance from the youngster after his initial appearance against Serbia. Saka was unable to take the most of a clever touch behind the Albania defence. The left-back spot is his to lose at this stage. Seven

Adam Wharton His first start with the national team. Slightly sloppy on the ball but his whipped set-pieces caused problems. A handy game manager available to the boss to call upon against teams who drop deep. Booked for a poorly timed challenge. Six

Declan Rice Crosses on corner kicks and free kicks were dangerous. Was given room to roam on the left only to be in an offside position when the ball arrived in shooting positions. Awarded a well-earned break on the hour mark. 6/10

The star midfielder Played in a forward role on the right while also put in dirty work. Displayed flashes of quality and scuffed an attempt over. Substituted towards the end for Rogers, his rival, after receiving a caution. 7/10

Jarrod Bowen Was presented with the team's best chance of the first half, his effort smartly stopped by Thomas Strakosha. As a teammate holding position, it fell to him to stretch the play down the right side but his crosses from wide areas were inconsistent. Substituted late in the match. Six

Harry Kane The difference-maker with his 77th and 78th goals at international level. The first a typical close-range tap-in and the second a superb finish with his head after peeling away away from the opposition. At 32, he continues to improve and the side are strong contenders in future competitions when he's in the team. Eight

The attacker Had difficulty to make an impact from the left. Had a decent opportunity following a pass from a teammate yet Strakosha denied him. His replacement made much more of influence when substituted. Five
