Performer Denies Anti-Vaccine Position Following Lending His Voice To Contentious Coronavirus Feature

Liam Neeson has lent his vocal talents to a new documentary that challenges the efficacy of vaccinations and lauds ex- government figure RFK Jr.

The Feature's Provocative Foundation

Named "Plague of Corruption," the film is based on a well-known publication written by a disgraced researcher, who gained notoriety during the health crisis for assertions that the virus was caused by a bad strain of the flu vaccine.

Her writing partner, a producer, has penned books with far-right media personality Alex Jones. He wrote online hailing Neeson's involvement in the documentary.

A Firm Rebuttal

A spokesperson for Liam Neeson have provided a response firmly refuting suggestions that he holds anti-vax beliefs.

"We all understand that misconduct may occur within the medical sector, but that cannot be conflated with being against vaccines," the statement states. "He has never been, and remains not, against vaccines. His extensive work with the global charity underscores his enduring support for public-health initiatives."

The statement added that the star did not shape the documentary's editorial content and that inquiries about its assertions are best addressed to the creators.

Major Assertions Within the Documentary

In the film, the script read by Neeson features several strong points:

  • It claims that pro-vaccine voices have demanded "blind obedience" to health authorities.
  • It argues that "research has become deeply politicized."
  • RFK Jr is shown claiming, "The core flaw with vaccines is that they are not adequately tested."
  • The film takes aim at Covid lockdowns, arguing they caused mental anguish that cost thousands of lives.
  • Regarding the immunizations, it references a view that they were "rushed to market" and seen as "hazardous tests."

Previous Controversy and Recent Issues

It also references a historical film about AIDS medication trials on children, which was subsequently the topic of a formal apology by the broadcaster for violations of guidelines.

In recent weeks, the political figure called on the Centers for Disease Control to alter its long-held position that there is no causal relationship between immunizations and autism spectrum disorder. This assertion is repeated in the film, despite a fresh analysis from the WHO confirming no connection has been found.

A Past Statement of Endorsement

Standing in contrast to the film's narrative, Neeson has previously voiced firm endorsement for vaccines in his position as a UNICEF goodwill ambassador.

In 2022, he described vaccines as "an incredible human success story," stating that "The conversation about vaccines in recent years has forgotten how much positive impact they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest collective achievements in human history."

"Plague of Corruption" ends with Neeson's narration saying, "This isn't the end of our story. This is the start of a fresh chapter."
