Passionate fans of Ariana Grande are calling for that a person who breached a barricade and touched the performer during Thursday's Wicked: For Good launch be detained or removed from Singapore.
A viral video depicts the individual from Australia bypassing camera operators and rushing toward Grande while the actors walked down a event pathway surrounded by supporters.
Cast member Cynthia Erivo quickly wrested the shocked performer away from Mr Wen, who was seen being removed of the gathering by guards.
Mr Wen stated on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "released after being taken in", though legal records indicated that he was set to appear on Friday morning. It is not clear if he was formally accused.
This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Notorious Troublemaker", has crashed a concert or event. His Instagram feed includes recordings of him disrupting other celebrity events, including rushing the platform at the pop singer's Sydney performance in June this year and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers performance in the area last December.
"Steps should be implemented applied against him as this is evidently a criminal offence," wrote an Instagram user, in a reply to a video Mr Wen shared of his behavior.
"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" one Instagram user wrote.
Several fans blamed Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had discussed suffering from trauma-related anxiety after a devastating incident at the end of her May 2017 show in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and wounding many.
"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" wrote a further response on Instagram.
Some supporters also faulted event staff at the gathering for not being vigilant enough; while others requested digital services to remove Mr Wen's content.
In videos spreading on the internet, Grande appeared startled when she was touched by the man. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted reassuring her while Mr Wen was escorted away by guards.
Grande has not commented on the situation, and the rest of the event carried on uninterrupted.
Hundreds of supporters had congregated in a mass of emerald and rose at the Wicked: For Good international premiere in a Singapore venue, including a number who had waited for as long as a significant duration before it commenced.
The movie, to be launched on 21 November, is the second of a two-part interpretation of the popular stage show Wicked, which focuses on the unexpected bond between two contrasting characters.
The show itself is a adaptation of the classic children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.
Grande, who plays the character Glinda Glinda, was dressed in a rosé sequin dress at the gathering while Erivo, who plays the wicked witch, wore a sleek black dress featuring roses.
They were accompanied by cast member Jeff Goldblum.
The initial film, Wicked, was the highest-grossing movie of last year in the UK, and scored 10 Academy Award nods, earning several for best costume and set decoration.
