Brian Eno Encourages Public Help to Get Together for Palestine Song to UK Holiday Chart Peak.

A campaign is aiming to send a cultural melody to the top of the UK charts. The project seeks to deliver assistance to people in Gaza while also highlighting Palestinian culture and creativity.

An Opportunity for Support and an "Chart Upset"

Musician and artist Brian Eno, who contributes to the track, stated that the release called 'Lullaby' represents a opportunity to show solidarity with Palestinians over the Christmas period. He remarked the potential for an unexpected chart success.

“It would be fantastic if that came to pass, yes,” he stated. “I wouldn't be completely let down if it doesn't manage to, Christmas singles are a category of their own.”

Powerful Theme of Dignity and Freedom

Palestinian singer Nai Barghouti, who sings on the reimagining of a traditional lullaby called Yamma Mwel El Hawa, explained the track's resilient spirit.

“The song holds a deeply meaningful spot for countless listeners,” Barghouti said. “The message is that I would choose to perish with honor than exist without freedom. This is the primary message of the song; we seek to lead a dignified life that we deserve as Palestinians.”

Track's Background and Star-Studded Lineup

The single was laid down following a major charity concert held in September. Originally intended to be captured during the live event, the performance was cut from the show due to time constraints.

The diverse array of musicians appearing on Lullaby includes a range of well-known figures from the industry. All were part of the benefit event, which managed to collect a substantial amount for humanitarian aid.

Creation and Launch

Lullaby was crafted by a trio of talented individuals. The track features a mix of the original Arabic with contemporary English verses.

The organizers behind the project have emphasized that their aim is to collect the highest amount for a charitable pot. These resources will be allocated to projects in Palestine through an non-profit partner.

“There is no a fixed goal,” a figure commented. “We will pursue the maximum achievable. Obviously, the more the merrier. All proceeds are directed out to Gaza.”

The situation in the territory was characterized as its extreme devastation, with a huge proportion of property reportedly in ruins or severely impacted.

“Against that backdrop, a couple of million doesn’t make an enormous impact. But I think the significant factor is first of all spreading knowledge of this plight and showing the human dimension of the story.”

The single 'Lullaby' is set to be released on Friday. Additionally, a full recording of the benefit event will be made ready to watch on a major video platform from mid-December.
